Dancing paper dolls and Chinese clothes and stuff
Thursday, July 31st, 2008-
Some 9,000-odd paper dolls were used to make this pretty nice music video.
I’d just tagged this on del.icio.us and since it’s on a daily blog-posting thing, it’s just added another entry here. Anyway, no harm in reminding everyone again, eh?
It’s that time of year again, rain, cold weather and the occasional spot of sunshine, yes, it must be summer here in Wales. That means that the Caernarfon Festival is upon us again, and with the square still in disarray, things are still very much up in the air.

Anyway, I created another flier for them this year, and although it doesn’t pack the same punch as last year’s flier, I really like it. It’s light and summery and maybe a little festive. I had originally thought of making something that was earthy and touchy feely, all stencil print on recycled paper, going with an eco-friendly theme. Once I got started, things just evolved into something else… that’s what I like about doing projects for non-profits, I charge only a nominal amount, and I get free rein to take the work in any direction I feel like.
In fact, I like this design so much that I decided to quickly knock out a Web4-U information site for them, I know I probably shouldn’t have done it though. There’s already an Official Caernarfon Festival website, so mine would be just an information site. I’m not going to be paid any extra but I figure that I could just add the site to my portfolio. I couldn’t afford to spend much of my time on it since I have real clients who need my attention, so it’s not 100%, but I’m happy enough with it.
Enough waffle, have a look at the Caernarfon Festival 2008 Information Site for yourself.
…. this time with flash.
